Tuesday
Ahhh last week beautiful and 75; this week 30 and stuck indoors.
Just a few pics of Springtime fun, the sun is super bright, so not the greatest images, but for our memories I will post them and remember the fun we had.

This week we are trying to stay busy reading, drawing, indoor activities.... Chloe began an art book. She draws one picture a day to add to it, folllowing a learn how to draw animal book. A quick tip for those that use netflix; I order scholastic books on dvd and they can follow along with the story while they read some of their books and they really enjoy it. This week we have Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel. We are also trying to watch several movies that teach what Easter week is really all about. I am surprised at how much Caitlyn enjoys movies about the Bible. Yesterday they watched Jesus of Nazereth for over an hour and I kept saying are you sure you guys want to see this? And I would get a unanimous YES each time I asked. I had to turn it a couple of times for graphic issues I don't want to discuss with them right now. I hope the Miracle Maker comes in. Netflix says there is a wait for it, and I really look forward to watching it with them. It is more on their level.
We have all memorized these bible verses so far this year and everyone is excited each week to see the new one.
As for God, His way is perfect. Psalm 18:30
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. Acts 16:31
Commit your way to the Lord. Psalm 37:5
Delight yourself in the Lord. Psalm 37:4
Every good and perfect gift is from above. James 1:17
For with God nothing is impossible. Luke 1:37
Glory to God in the highest. Luke 1:14
Honor your father and mother. Deuteronomy 5:16
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” Matthew 19:14

What sweet moments on such a beautiful day! While your girls are examining flowers and dipping there feet in a brook, my girls are playing with snails and roly polies. It's just not quite as photogenic!
Actually we were chasing butterflies yesterday! These are the best times.
Love the layouts!
Lori
P.S. I follow another Chloe on a blog at www.ourchinagirl.blogspot.com
She is 14 and just came home a couple weeks ago.

Awww...I love these Springtime photos, Connie! They help hold me over while I wait for Spring to make its way to PA. : )
Remember I was looking for an age appropriate Easter/crucifixion story for my girls? Wal-mart is carrying one right now from The Great Adventure Series...called The Easter Story....very age appropriate for my girls age. Although, the idea of Jesus being hurt is very upsetting to Ella and she will not watch it anymore...but that is Ella. It is very good at portraying the events in a good way for little ones!

I didn't know that about Netflix! How cool! I am always looking for something to get the kids motivated!
The pictures of the kids are gorgeous! We miss water so much. We really have to drive IN the mountains to find it :) And it is always FREEZING!! Even in August!
Another good movie is the Gospel of John, which is word for word the gospel. It can be found in 19 parts on youtube. kinda nice to have it broken up for small ones!
Happy Easter!
