Jacob requested to have his picture taken with Allie. How could I resist? I quickly snapped a couple for him. He loves his dog so much. He is upstairs right now, cuddled up in his blankie with her watching a Bernstein Bears movie.

Ryan's second day at work was a much better day. I am SO glad. The first night he cooked fries for 5 hours. Today he got to be at the counter which is what he really wanted. He said the most challenging task is special orders. He said its surprising how many people make it difficult, like light ice, half tea half lemonade, tea no ice, fries no salt, wheat bun, extra pickles, I could go on and on....He came home much happier today and less stressed.
Quick praise: Sometimes we go to church on Wednesday and sometimes we don't. Dad has a very heavy work load and can't be home in time every week. Ryan does not always attend with us on Wed. nights. I don't force him. I feel that it would be the quickest way to run him away from the Lord and that is not my desire. My living a Godly example will speak much more to him than me forcing him to go to a service. This Wednesday Ryan specifically asked if we could go, because in his words, it was a rough week. He said he just wanted to go sit there and be surrounded by peace. Made this mom smile from ear to ear inside my heart. I know he knows where to go when its rough and that spoke volumes to me about where his heart is. Praise you Father for drawing him to you.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

  • I love Jacob's eyes....what a beautiful photo opportunity!

I am so thankful that Ryan knows where to go to find the peace he needs in this world. You and Danny are such beautiful Christian parents...there is no doubt in my mind these treasures will grow up to be soldiers for Christ.

P.S. Seriously...people actually order fries with no salt?????? I'm not supposed to have salt with my high blood pressure...but come on...that is a little much! lol

  • I love the photos of your son with his dog...so precious!

Glad the work was better, and yes...people have some strange "special orders" and then can be quite rude about it. Amazing to me sometimes.

We're the same thought about church attendance for teens. :)

  • Beautiful pics. No wonder he wanted you to lick his pic with his puppy.

I agree with you that you dont force ryan to come to temple with you. The fact that he chose to come to church instead of going somewhere else speaks volumes about your parenthood. Love it.
