More bullets

Chloe went to the dentist and did not have any cavities. That was wonderful news this week. She does have a tooth that is crowned with a silver crown that is loose. She is sad about losing her crown. When she had to get it, she was 4. I felt so bad for her and her beautiful smile; I told her it was a special jewelry tooth that made her smile extra beautiful. She still loves it because of those words. She said when it comes out, she will save it forever. If we can get the tooth loose enough and pull it, we can save $125 dollars, otherwise they want to extract it soon since the crown is loose and one side of the root is exposed a bit. She says she will pull it all by herself. I really hope she can.

Pretty yucky weather this week, no fun outdoors. After having a sneak preview of Spring the past couple of weeks we were already a bit spoiled.

I never cease to be amazed at how much gunk my vacuum gets out of my floor. I was cleaning it today and just so surprised.

I was reading a devotional book to the Treasures tonight called 5 Minute Devotions and it uses different animals to demonstrate things and discuss a trait we either need to have or need to work on not having and tonights subject was selfishness, and they used a cuckoo bird for the example. Not all in the species but over half, are very selfish birds! The mommy bird sneaks to a nest that belongs to a warbler that has laid eggs and lays her egg. Then when the baby cuckoo is born, he is larger than the warbler babies and he selfishly kicks out all of the other eggs in the nest so he will be an only child. Then the warbler mom and dad work very hard to feed their large baby! Isn't theat amazing how selfish the mother and baby are? Interesting....

A snack after the dentist visit:)

  • hi Connie! neat book and interesting story about the birds. what REALLY fascinates me is that God programmed them to do that.

I'm getting a sugar rush from that fantastic photo of the donut!

  • Honestly, I have NEVER noticed that tooth until you wrote this...but I have always loved her beautiful smile. I will be praying that she can pull this tooth out!

That is interesting about the birds...have you ever watched that penguin movie..the documentary...that was EXTREMELY interesting to me how the Daddy penguin takes care of the egg the entire time until the Mommy penguin comes back with the food...she is gone for months and months. Their emotions are so intriguing especially if the egg breaks or the baby dies they mourn and even try to steal someone else's egg or baby. Anyway, it was very interesting to me and I will have to look into that devotional.

Don't you worry about us blog friends...your treasures are more important than we are! But it does bless my day if you do a new post...I love you and your treasures!

  • I love that photo of the girls together, you remind me I need to get more pictures of my girls. I have plenty individuals, but so few of them together.

I had to laugh at your vacuum cleaner comment, as well as ask you what you use! I've had 3 in the past 4 years and not one of them works after 6 months.

Sorry about the dental visit and crown... we've been seeing lots of our dentist/ortho lately too...

  • Such beautiful pictures of your girls...those donuts look pretty yummy. We went to the dentist too. Livi needs more work done but Addison got a clean bill of health.

  • Such gorgeous girls! I hope Chloe is able to get the tooth out. I love what you told her. You are such a sweet mommy! I might have to look into that devotional, as my sassy little Paige is needing some reminding of how we should live. I detest hormones and the attitudes it can bring...sigh! Happy weekend to you!

  • Connie - I always love visiting you - I feel like if we lived close we'd be good friends! So happy for your dental news and praying that tooth pulls out all by itself:)

Have a wonderful weekend, sweet friend.
