our week so far

I also wanted to share a quick piece from the devotional I am reading right now: The prayer that changes everything. It is focusing on praise and worship changing your life.
I felt it could help someone to hear this one little part. The chapter I am on is speaking of God's purpose for your life. Praising Him and thanking Him for the purpose He has called you to. You don't have to strive and work to know your purpose. You have to strive to know Him... to draw closer to Him. You don't have to strive and labor to make it happen... just focus on worshiping Him and He will make it happen. I think sometimes we all labor at things too hard and try to make things happen; when if we would just focus on Him, He will make it happen and give us direction on what our part is without all the labor and heaviness. He said... Take my yoke for it is light. Matthew 11: 28-30.... other scripture references that speak of Him having a purpose for each of us and being faithful to bring us to it are : Ephesians 2:10, and Psalm 90:17 , and 1 Thess:5:24

The pictures of the treasures looks far from "dreary"!! You are always having the best fun! I think I could use to come to my house & make ME a fun Mommy :)

Love the photos as usual!
I will keep your friends in our prayers - we had a family in our FCC family lose a little one unexpectedly last year about this time - in fact I was just thinking I needed to send them a card. It sure does test ones faith.

Connie thank you for sharing that devotion...it's so full of truth!
My heart breaks for the family you mentioned...I had heard about them through some other friends, though I didn't know them personally. I am so sad for their loss and am lifting them up to our Father.
Your pictures are beautiful...we've had a lot of inside activities this week too. Today is ever so rainy so we are staying in our pajamas and cuddling a lot.
Love you,

What happened to your friends child? How awful for those poor parents to lose a child they waited and dreamt of for so long. I know what's like to lose someone suddenly. My mother was killed by a drunk driver nearly four years ago. It was painful, especially not being able to say goodbye to her. I can't even imagine the pain felt over losing a precious child. My heart and prayers go out for your friends.
