our week so far

This post isn't really filled with beautiful photography; just our life happenings this week for our memories. A couple of dreary days filled with reading, puzzles, a movie or 2, a card game... We got out one day for a bit to play and I got some fun pics of my little Monkey Treasure climbing a tree full of the giggles. We are hoping it brightens up today.This past weekend a local family that we know from Ryan's co-op had to suddenly VERY unexpectedly say goodbye to their beautiful China angel. She was only 3 and it was a very odd, sudden thing. I have felt so sad for them this week. They have only had her home to love for 1 year and had such hopes for her future. Please pray that they have peace and are comforted by the Comforter Himself. They will be having a funeral for her tomorrow to say their goodbyes until they are reunited in Heaven.

I also wanted to share a quick piece from the devotional I am reading right now: The prayer that changes everything. It is focusing on praise and worship changing your life.

I felt it could help someone to hear this one little part. The chapter I am on is speaking of God's purpose for your life. Praising Him and thanking Him for the purpose He has called you to. You don't have to strive and work to know your purpose. You have to strive to know Him... to draw closer to Him. You don't have to strive and labor to make it happen... just focus on worshiping Him and He will make it happen. I think sometimes we all labor at things too hard and try to make things happen; when if we would just focus on Him, He will make it happen and give us direction on what our part is without all the labor and heaviness. He said... Take my yoke for it is light. Matthew 11: 28-30.... other scripture references that speak of Him having a purpose for each of us and being faithful to bring us to it are : Ephesians 2:10, and Psalm 90:17 , and 1 Thess:5:24
