I will post more from the farm later right now I am short for time and thought I would post 1 of each Treasure. We had a great day yesterday going to a farm and a short hike. I will never understand how their short little legs can go so fast on hikes. I am constantly saying RED LIGHT! so mommy can catch up! They are so full of energy.
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, it is going to beautiful here and we are off to church and then will be outdoors all day soaking in the sunshine...

1 odd story from the barn: A mom saw Caitlyn hugging each and every animal as you know she does, and said... wow she certainly is brave. I said, yes she is my brave girl. She loves animals... She then asked, how many trips to the ER do you make each week? I answered, actually we have never been to the ER with Caitlyn. I have four children and have only been to the ER 1 time. Anyway I thought it was kind of an odd thing to ask....Perhaps she thought I was not being a good mom because I allowed Caitlyn to hug the animals?? I don't know. They are supposed to be gentle farm animals, it isn't like we were in there with lions or bears;)

but anyway I just thought it was a wierd question to ask... have a wonderful day:)

  • Ha ha ha! Some people sure do ask odd questions.

The pictures are gorgeous of the treasures. We love visiting farms too. Our children aren't so brave except for Jordan.

    Love you,
    Jill

  • You have SUCH beautiful children, Connie! The picture of Chloe and the horse should be framed!!!

Yes, that was an odd question. I just think people don't think before they speak sometimes. You are an AWESOME mommy and let your children experience the wonders of life. Don't sweat the comment.

  • I don't think there's any harm in hugging the farm animals. Strange response. I had a lady correct S.G. at the grocery store yesterday with me standing right there. It made me feel weird. I was just about to stop S.G. only because she would make other people nervous...not me.

    Anyway, love the pictures.

  • Beautiful photos as always.
People ask me that about Amelia too, just because she has no fear and is willing to try anything! Many children would be afraid to hug animals, so I'm guessing that's what she meant:)

  • That is a weird odd question! Seriously though, I've found it's the quiet ones that'll get you to the ER the most. ;)

Looks like a fun trip to the farm...
and sorry, but TAG! The creative meme one.

  • Great pictures! It's probably time I take Linlee to a farm. Enjoy your sunshine today. The November rains have arrived in the Pacific Northwest and we'll be inside for a while now.

  • Maybe she was worried about Ecooli, I let my girls hold, hug and get around all the animals at the petting zzos and farms, they have never had any issues? They were hugging and petting baby pigs at the market Saturday, the camera was at home in the kitchen. :(
    Lovely pics Connie.

  • Connie,

It's so wonderful that Catlin loves animals so much. Maybe she will grow up to be vet. That's how our Amanda is.

I love the picture of Chloe and the horse. Gosh, all of your kids are beautiful.

    Hugs,

  • Apparently, weird question lady has frequented the ER:)

I love each picture but am especially fond of the first - I love that the treasures feel at one with nature - I think that is a beautiful quality you have instilled in them.

    Love you!

  • Great shots as always. We should go for a hike, its been too long. I never know why some people say such funny things. We were in the mall on Sat and a lady saw me put Bailey's bow back on and said she looked like a present. But somehow I didn't think she meant it as a compliment. So when Bailey came over to me I picked her up and said, the best present we ever got! Anyway, have a great time!
