laughter

Caitlyn went to the dentist Monday. I was SO proud of how well she did! She watched Jacob and the entire time kept saying my turn my turn! Got right up in the chair and patiently had her teeth cleaned and let the dentist do his evaluation. They have a television screen on the ceiling and she watched Dora most of the time. On the way to the dentist she thought we were going to a dance class. I suppose dentist and dancing sounded the same to her so I was worried she was going to be disappointed, but she enjoyed her visit the receptionist even said we can dance if you want too.:):)... Unfortunately she has to go back Monday for 2 cavities, but hopefully we have gone early enough that they are not too time consuming and painful to fill. The dentist seemed confident that she would do fine.
Yesterday we had a jammie day and just stayed in pj's all day. Today I think we are up and out of here though. Keeping Caityn indoors makes so much work. She poured a huge tub of oatmeal out that her elder brother left out and ran to me to say "I made a mess again mommy!" with a huge grin on her face. That is just one of several yesterday. She then handed me what was left in the tub and told me I needed to put it up high so she could not get it. Anyway, I think we will take a trip to the book store. Soon I will have to start taking them to the library instead, I think. Now that they can read pretty well they are going through 3 or 4 books a day. At Barnes and Nobles home school families get a 20 percent discount so that is nice.
Also I wanted to mention that if anyone would like a custom blog template, my blog friend Verna is doing them to raise money for her orphanage donation for her darling son Noah. Look at those cheeks, is he a cutie or what? She generously gave around $2000 dollars she has earned to another family recently and now the next couple of months will go towards Noah's. She can do Christmas Cards too! She is very talented and has answered questions for me a couple of times as I try to design my own templates.

The oatmeal story is funny. Great pictures. I don't know if you have did a different header or not, but I have not noticed this one. I love it. I think it is one of my favorite you have done. Many times I just read your blog on my google reader and so I don't go to the blog. I really like the look of your blog. Pretty.

Love the smiles:) JiaLi has many times tried to put things on a higher shelf saying that the "little" kids might get them--she is the smallest in the house. JiaLi is seeing the dentist in a few more months--she was so disappointed when I took the kids in the summer so I made sure that I scheduled her too. Love the idea at the end of your post to raise money.

What precious laughter photos! You always capture them so well. Sophia's first appointment is in January, I scheduled it at the same time as Noah's. She likes to be just like 'her boy', so I'm hoping that will help.

Caitlyn sounds like she would get along so well with my Ella! Ella LOVES to make messes and does not try to hide them from me. Although she has yet to ask me to put something out of her reach to avoid temptation...too cute!!

Oh Connie, I can hear the giggles coming right out of my screen! What joyful little faces. I hope Caitlyn does just as well on Monday. I had to laugh at her telling you she made a mess again. At least she tells you! I just love the honesty of little ones.

Love the smiles. 3-4 books a day huh? Even though Malia doesn't "read" yet, I best be getting my library card (-:
I fear our first trip to the dentist. Sounds like your trip went awesome! Sorry to hear about the cavities though!
