weekend wrapup
Well, not alot to blog about kind of weekend. It was still pretty hot. Over 100, but the humidity was down enough to make it bearable. Chloe and Daddy ventured out to lunch and an outing, while I took the high maintenance babies again. It just works for us that way and we had a nice morning shopping, except for Caitlyn's meltdown in Yankee Candle. I just love their leather car fresheners, it keeps my car smelling showroom fresh. They were on sale and I had to go, I had a $15 dollar coupon...I knew it wasn't her kind of store, it really wasn't a surprise. As soon as we were out of there she calmed down. After the meltdown I took them to lunch at their favorite again. We all then spent the late afternoon at the pool. Sunday afternoon the family came over for dinner and a swim. I love my parents coming over to spend Sunday afternoon with the kids. The kids look forward to it.
Ryan starts his co-op that we are going to try this year for school. He will go Tuesdays and Thursdays full days. The little ones and I start our school year this week as well. We will work about 2 1/2 hours a day in spurts. Little 30-45 min time spans through the day. At first I wasn't going to start so early, but now I figure why not, while its 100 degrees and then if we want a day here and there in the fall when its more pleasant outside, it will be easier to not get behind.
Throwing in a few pictures of Caitlyn playing over the weekend...
what else is there to do when its 100 but cool off with ice cream...

Cooking up some yummy pinecones...

I've been noticing all the hot weather around!! I keep telling my kids to be thankful we are not in the triple digits. I give you soo much credit for the home schooling--something I've thought about but never felt confident enough.

Leather air fresheners, really? Gotta get me one of those! I think there's a yankee candle outlet in Freeport. Didn't know there was such a thing!
Love the pinecone picture, were they delicious?

Oh, and it was 73 here today. (You can hate me now, but will laugh heartily when it's below zero in a few months!)
