Loving the new car seat

Some of you have read about the ongoing saga of Caitlyn and the despised car seat. We have tried everything short of duct tape. We have tried every type of movie in the dvd player, toys, books, you name it, we have tried it; to have some kind of peace in the car. Daddy usually isn't along for all of these wonderful trips and thought I was exaggerating. This past week he has been in the car with her for a few trips though and after being eye witness to her screaming frustrations and escapes and a 5 hour ride to the beach coming up, said lets go get her another seat. So off to Target we went Sat morning and let her test them all. We finally decided on a cheapie really. She had the nice graco $120 dollar one. Plush and all the bells and whistles.
We went with a much plainer $40 toddler seat. Every time we get in the car so far, so good. She says "oh nice!" "nice seat, soft!" "I like it!"
So we go on and on about what a great catch it is as well. We have gone on 5 short trips and not one complaint or escape yet. Please let this be the answer!

Saturday on our way to Target, I am in the passenger seat with no seat belt on because I had hurt my back somehow Friday night and was sititng in a wierd way for comfort and Caitln in her bossy, stern voice says "Momma! seat!" So I said "ok, ok," relunctantly and after I snapped it on, she said THANKYOU! in her really bossy supreme voice.
