Tuesday
Caitlyn has had a language explosion the past couple of weeks, saying longer and longer sentences. She has just put 1to2 words together for so long its surprising everytime we hear these long sentences now. She is singing a bit of vegiTales which is adorable. I can say I love you and she will say I love you most. She can go through the house saying daddy where are you?? She can tell the dogs to hush right now, I mean it! If Ryan ever says the horrid stupid or shut up word that some teens might say now and then she will quickly reprimand. No NO Ryan! no stuppid or no shutup! She can sing momma dear momma dear just something she made up. Mind you she does all of this in the sweetest baby talk you have ever heard. :) Ryan often says when is she going to talk right? I always say soon enough, lets just enjoy her baby talk while we can. Danny and I both are trying to savor every moment of her baby time. It also seems that now that she is understanding even more of our words, she is easier to talk out of a situation that might have normally brought a small fit or tantrum. She is able to reason out a bit now which is nice. Not always, but we are seeing a difference. We never leave her. Danny or I are always with her, but Sat night I knew she would not behave very well at the recital. She is just not a sit and enjoy the show kind of girl. My mom skipped the recital and sat with her and she did wonderful. We were both a bit concerned leaving her at night. We would have rather left her in the afternoon. We flew home and left in the middle of the show.
We were very happy to hear she didn't seemed worried about us at all while we were gone. As long as Nana gives her the occasional magic gum she would rather just stay with Nana :) The next day I talked to her about staying with Nana and she said Nana gum and smiled very big. That is another thing with her language explosion this past couple of weeks she has wanted to get in my lap and have little talks and loves to tell us secrets.
Other news of the day:
Jacob was in the car for the daily yuck trip to swim practice for Ryan which takes our favorite hour of afternoon playtime :( and somehow twisted his seatbelt around him in a way that he got it tangled and was stuck. The more I tried to get him out the tighter it became until I knew I better stop. He is such a little trooper though, as long as you remain calm he does too. He patiently waited 30 min in the car after already being in there for the hour drive, until his daddy arrived with tools to take the seatbelt apart. He had marks on his little tummy. If he had gotten upset I was going to just cut it, but thought if he would remain calm, we would sit and read books until daddy could get here.

I guess Tuesday was the day for our kids to get stuck, huh? I am glad Jake was such a trooper and you remained calm. I was not so calm. Ha.
