Happy Monday
You all are probably pretty tired of seeing my Treasures in their swim suits, but with it being 90 + where we live that is what they wear most of the day it seems. Besides water fun, we have been going to the park early a few mornings to beat the heat, and we continue with our school time during the summer. We are really unable to play out all day in the summer because of the heat and spend more time outdoors in the Spring and Fall, so we take the time to continue school in the Summer to make up for all our fun time during the year. Plus, for the most part, we really enjoy our school time and don't consider it a chore. I try my best to make learning something they look forward to and an adventure. We keep it fresh. This week Caitlyn will be working on the letter B and her colors and shapes. Chloe and Jacob will be continuing to learn about early American History, they have their new Bob Jones math 3 books this week. We are alternating between that and the Teaching Textbooks together. They like sometimes being given the choice of do you want to do a math lesson on the PC or your book? They will also have independent reading time each day and it is the book of their choice. I try to post what we are doing now and then with school since this is the Treasures scrapbook. I am considering a schooling blog to keep the school posts separate; but don't know if I would have the time to keep them both straight.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.

When it's hot, you have to do what you can to beat the heat. And I've been doing an hour of schoolwork with the Tongginator every day this summer, too. A bored Tongginator is a Tongginator in trouble. Heh.
