all about me
All about me Meme
Kim at 3 Peanuts tagged me with this meme. I am supposed to tag others but I always break the rules on that part and just want to say if you want to do this I would LOVE to read your answers and learn more about you :)
Favorite person (outside of family): hmmm.... you know I honestly don't have a fav person. I love a lot of people for totally different reasons. Some are inspirational, some just bring me comfort with their love for me, some need me and that causes me to have a special love for them...
Favorite food? it really has to depend on my mood. I am mostly a meat and potato kind of person,I don't jump out and try a lot of new things, and I don't really like fancy foods with all kinds of ingredients you can't even name.
How would the person who loves you the most describe you in ten words or less? independent, loving, generous, faithful, intelligent, hard working, blogaholic;) ok he said that's it... no more...;)
Any regrets in life? Nothing major, I of course have a few things I wish I had done differently here and there. I suppose we all do.
Favorite charity or cause? Love Without Boundaries, I think they are amazing.
Favorite blog recently? Pixel Fairy Princess, I LOVE her photography and her scrap talent. She inspires me greatly!
Something you cannot get enough of? Time in the evening when the Treasures are down for the night. I love that time just to wind down and read a few blogs, create a page or two, edit pictures...I usually listen to a favorite pastors message as I do and it brings me energy and strength.
Worst job you ever had? Doing our taxes each yr. I so detest the responsibility. I have to do business returns and personal and its ALOT of paper.
What job would you pay NOT to have? an accountant I detest doing our returns as I said above. I would not want to do that for others all day long.
If you could be a fly on the wall, where? Maybe at the CCAA to see what the future holds for adoptions.
Favorite Bible verse right now? The entire psalm 121 and 128 are two of my favorites, I love the many promises of God, He left absolutely nothing out. There is always a scripture you can find that has your situation in mind that you can mix faith with and receive from our Heavenly Father. He is so good which brings another favorite to mind...James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.
I love to meditate on His unending goodness.
Guilty pleasure? blogging and editing my photos, I have to make myself stop both sometimes...
Got any confessions? Regularly! I keep them between myself and my Father and he is always faithful to forgive and cleanse me!
If you had to spend $1000 on yourself, how would you spend it? Probably clothes and shoes. I do not buy for myself as often as I used to. By the time I go to the men's dept for Ryan, the boys youth for Jacob, The girls for Chloe, The baby dept. for Caitlyn I am all shopped out! (but I have to say shopping for all of them brings me way more joy than when I could shop for just me. I LOVE shopping for Chloe and Caitlyn dresses and outfits, they are way cuter than me too!;)
Favorite thing about your house? The square footage. Our home is around 4300 sq ft. I love the roominess of each room. We lived in two very small homes yrs ago and I would feel cooped up and had to get out. I could actually stay here days without feeling the need to leave. Its very open with lots of windows. We purchased it for a great price and have enjoyed remodeling and fixing it up. We always have some project going.
Least favorite thing about your house? there is always something needing to be cleaned. I still count my blessings though... I would rather have little dirty handprints to clean up than a sparkling empty nest.
One thing you are bad at? direction. I am hopeless... My hubby gets frustrated trying to tell me how to get somewhere. I am way better printing out a map quest that gives me step by step I can read over and over than someone telling me.
One thing you are good at? I feel I am good at teaching my children. I really enjoy it far more than I thought I would and find so much joy in homeschooling and learning with them.
If you could change one thing about your circumstances, what? hmmm. another toughie. I am really happy blessed and quite fortunate and can think of nothing.
Who would you like to meet someday? I have several bloggy friends I would love to meet. Most are on my fav list on my side bar.
Who is your real life hero? 4 bloggy friends come to mind. All 4 are not just people who sit by and wish they could do something about certain situations. Or say they wish they could help. They get up and do something right where they are. Kimberley at Seventh Diamond and her Starfish box donations, Daleea at Jewels of My Heart has started her incredible auction for the starfish surgery fund which desperately needs our continued support, and the Maddens at Hoping For Six, they have friends that are facing certain diseases and they get out and make a difference for their friends I find that character attribute admirable. Recently one of Jia Li's travel mates from China was diagnosed with a kidney disease so their family walked in the Kidney walk to show support and love to their friends. And last, Ayla, Tonya's daughter from the Bramblett Bunch is also a hero to me, this precious tiny girl is such an amazing child. She is such a fighter, such a strong little angel. She is fighting cancer of the eye and almost finished with her chemo and I am so proud of her.
These are all heroes to me.
What is the hardest part of your job? the never ending cleaning, I love floors that look freshly vacuumed and mopped, bathrooms that have not one loose hair on the sink, nicely made beds, I love order. In order to have something close to this with 4 active children I have to work really hard to achieve it.
When are you most relaxed? When all of the kids are in bed.
What stresses you out? having several things that HAVE to be done in a day at certain times. The kitchen or bathrooms not tidy.
What can you not live without? my faith in Him.
Do you agree with the recent article that blogs are authored by narcissists? No. I began blogging and had no idea what a comment or a blog roll even was! I have met so many truly lovely people that I now call friends through my blog and I certainly don't consider them to be narcissists either.
Why do you blog? I began to create memories for my children to go back and look on, to share photos with my parents and now I add to that to keep certain friendships alive that have grown from blogging.
And now a couple of collages from a recent visit to the park

I love this one she couldn't resist putting her little toes in...

Connie - you are such a sweet soul! I am again reminded of the love that we have in common!! Don't forget if you are ever headed out West - you have a place to stay (though it will be a little tighter than your place!)

I really loved reading more about YOU. You have such a humble spirit, so it was a total treat to learn about you. You did not disappoint, my friend.
Your kindness and compassion is truly meaningful and shines through in each post. You are definitely NOT a narcissist.
Thank you for sharing!
