Saturday Fun
We had perfect weather Saturday. Abundant sunshine and 60 degrees. At this farm the Saturday before the 31st, they always have a festival which includes lots of people dressing up in civil war attire, Indian costumes, and they have alot of little plays throughout the day, gunfights, traditional Indian dances, etc. As we would pass someone dressed in their old fashioned costumes, Caitlyn would say, "oh no, I need dess up too", in her sad voice, like she forgot. Jacob and Chloe were fascinated by the corn. They wanted to shuck ear after ear. They all loved the huge hay mountain you could climb, as well as the big truck full of cotton. We had a very enjoyable day. A baby cow licked Chloe's cheek and she loved it. Ryan had a swim meet and couldn't go on this outing.
Also my eldest treasure was baptized Sunday. I was so pleased. He made Jesus, our Savior, the Lord of his life, many years ago, but had never been baptized. He and several of our church family were baptized together Sunday... We haven't had a baptismal service at our church in a long time. Jacob was very worried he was going to have to do it as well and started crying and we assured him he did not have to. Then when it was Ryan's turn he said loudly (why does Ryan have to get wet?) and several chuckled and that upset him as well. He does NOT like to be laughed at. Chloe did not understand what exactly being baptized means, but was quite ready to do it if called upon.:) She asked if I minded if her beautiful sweater got wet. I told her she was not going to be baptized until a little later.
Tomorrow we have a zoo trip scheduled with several other bloggers. I am sure all the kids will have a great time together. I am looking forward to seeing friends I don't get a chance to see very often.

Great pictures. Looks like alot of fun. I have one who does not like to be laughed at either. He gets SO mad! We're working on that.

Wonderful news about Ryan! Poor little Jacob, when you think about it if you are asking a very serious question and people laugh at you it is a little hurtful. Although, the congregation just thought it was cute. My Elisabeth is that way also. Love all the pictures and of course all of your beautiful treasures!

Okay, I loved the pumpkin patch photos-sooo cute, as always :), then I read about the baptism. What a great post about your children and how they reacted. I think these are the moments that just add spice to already really great moments in life!
