Daddy's girl/ 2yr gotcha anniversary

This seemed appropriate for this post as we have come upon Caitlyn's two year anniversary of being a part of our family. Two years ago this special love between a daddy and daughter started growing and it still grows and blossoms everyday. These pictures bring overwhelming joy to my heart. I wanted Daddy to 4 to love her so badly and he was so not into the adoption during the paperchase. He felt our family was full and was doing it for me. The Lord kept whispering in my heart they would love one another, but when you actually live out your prayer answered it is truly heaven on earth.

you know, that is SO true - it isn't always the case where both parents are 100% "into" it, especially when you are paperchasing, even IF you know the end result- yet there will be that moment when everyone falls in love..I am so glad to see it in your family:=)

Those pictures are so sweet. I have the same worries here. Richard is such an amazing father, but is really only doing the adoption for me. I appreciate him so much for that, and know that he won't be able to resist her (and wouldn't want to either). Thanks for sharing.

I love those pictures! I also have a husband that was not so into adopting and very non-chalant during paperchases. It was really God's lead and my persistance to bring our girls home. He is SO very in love with his girls now. The joy they bring him and the proud smile he wears on his face while holding them. I completely understand what you wrote about! : )

I thought I commented on this picture. I had the pleasure of watching Danny fall head over heels in love with his little Princess in China and the sparkle he got in his eyes that first day has just grown larger in the last two years. They are precious together!
