Caitlyn has wanted to play around the pool but not actually get in. We haven't pushed it because the water has still been a little chilly this early in the season. Today she finally took the plunge; with a little nudge from Daddy. She had SO much fun. She makes the cutest little noises when she is excited. Still quite like an infant in so many ways. Its so sweet. She had a BALL. Danny and I enjoyed seeing her enjoy herself so much. She is such a blessing. The joy she fills our hearts with is unspeakable. So many people often make comments to parents that have adopted such as you are so special to have adopted or something along those lines and I am telling you the joy these kids bring us is so marvelous! We are NOT special to have adopted, God is special for giving us the honor to be the parents of these kids. We give Him thanks and praise. I remember often Steven Curtis Chapman a Christian singer saying in an interview I watched, after he and his wife adopted 1 child from China; they thought they were finished as far as adding to their family. One day in church as another family that had adopted from China was dedicating their child, the Lord said clearly to Steven I am giving you the opportunity to be blessed again if you will dare to step out. It is SO true! I just can't say enough how thankful I am for my kids and I guess Mothers Day brings out the mushy in me :)
I get mushy on days like this too! It is such a privilege to be able to raise these children! I've been teary eyed all day, especially when our Pastor had a special time to pray for those mothers who had given their babies up for adoption! Blessings to you, Connie! Laine
I am blessed to be the mother to 4 wonderful treasures. It humbles me daily to know He would entrust me with these beautiful gifts... See my complete profile
