Happy Birthday Jacob

Today my Jacob is 6.
As I reflect, in some ways he has been home forever and yet in many ways it seems the time has flown and I wonder where my baby went... I think back of all the memories of he and Chloe in the toddler years. The many belly laughs I have heard from these two playing together and dancing to the beat of their own drum. I say all the time, the greatest gift God gave Jacob and Chloe was one another. Oh, how they need one another. They both have grown stronger in their weaknesses by having the other to learn from. They are never lonely for a friend... It is often hard to think about or describe one without mentioning the other because they are so close even though they are individuals they are twins as Chloe often says.

Jacob has grown and flourished so much the past 6 years. Ahh... my Jacob, full of passion, strong, alive, yet tender, and so child like in his thoughts still, for such is the kingdom of God... My child that taught me the most about being a parent. I have learned so much by having the honor of being Jacob's mother.
For this child I prayed...the child that I labored for most in prayers, this clip from a poem expresses it best:
You are the labor of my heart Child,

you are the labor of my heart
with all my strength I prayed
till they laid you in my arms Child,
you are the labor of my heart Child,
you are the labor of my heart...

The lyrics from this song say many of the things I desire for Jacob and all my children as they grow...
Forever Young:
May the good Lord be with you

Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others As you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young...
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young...
And when you finally fly away
Ill be hoping that I served you well
Forever Young...

I love you Jacob, Happy Birthday, my son.

Thank you, Lord for my Jacob...I say it constantly but I must forever praise you for the gifts you have granted me. I am blessed exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think, by the privilege of being his mother.
